This week, US housing market data will take centre stage alongside Canada’s inflation report and retail sales data. Key US indicators such as building permits, housing starts, and existing home sales will provide updates on the sector’s performance, while flash PMI and consumer sentiment will shape broader economic expectations.
In Europe, all eyes will be on the UK’s inflation and retail sales figures, alongside finalised Eurozone inflation data along with GDP updates from Germany and Norway. meanwhile, the UK’s core inflation rate is expected to remain above 3%, while retail sales may signal weaker demand growth as 2024 nears its close.
