Is being an Introducing Broker the same as being an affiliate?
Hi, I see a lot of companies promoting their affiliate and IB programs, but what is the difference? I gathered that both are partner programs but what's the difference? Thanks.
Hi @ForexFanatic,
Affiliates and IBs are similar but not exactly the same. Affiliates focus mostly on driving sign-ups through online marketing, whilst IBs usually have a closer relationship with clients, offering guidance or education and earning commissions based on their clients' trading activity.
If you have a website with good traffic, you may be more suited to becoming an affiliate. If you have knowledge and are thinking about running webinars or seminars or introducing clients you have a rapport with, then becoming an IB is more suitable.
As this forum grows, we will have partnership managers from different trusted brokers, who will be able to assist our community.
Good luck with your projects!

Thanks for the clarification @fx-trust-score, appreciate it. I would say I'm an affiliate then rather than an IB so I'll go forward on that basis. Thanks 👍 👍
